EMERGENCY SUPPLY OF BDC RECYCLING RUBBISH BAGS

All households receive a regular supply of Recycling Bags direct from BDC. If however you run out before the next scheduled delivery you can obtain an emergency supply from the Clerk.

EMERGENCY SANDBAGS AND WINTER GRIT

A supply of emergency sandbags (only the bags, not the sand to fill them) and winter grit is held at Granary House, Knowl Green.

EVERGREEN OVER 60s CLUB

Now meets every fortnight at the Community House from 2pm.

Our meetings are informal with a game of cards and bingo. We also hold a raffle and some of our members bring produce to sell. A cup of tea and a biscuits is always welcome. A chance to meet and chat with friends and neighbours, so do come and join us. If transport is a problem then we can probably arrange a lift for you.

YELDHAM AND DISTRICT CANCER SUPPORT GROUP

The group meets on the third Thursday of each month in the Reading Room, High Street, Great Yeldham, Essex, from 10.30am to 12pm.

This small and friendly group was established in May 2015 and welcomes people who are undergoing cancer treatment, post-treatment or are carers of people with cancer. We provide a supportive environment, refreshments and a focus on a relevant issue, such as Diet, Exercise or Relaxation. People attending come from towns and villages in North-East Essex and from the Sudbury area.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH

NHW distributes literature and messages from Braintree Police Station to help everyone be more effective to look after their personal property. NHW is a major factor in improving community spirit as it encourages people to help others whatever age and wherever they live.

BELCHAMP & DISTRICT TENNIS CLUB

Friendly tennis club. Adult club nights Tues and Fri from Easter to early October, 5.30pm onwards. Current membership fees are:

Adults - £37
Students (16-18)  £18.50
Juniors (upto 16) £5

The fees allow play all year at times in addition to club nights. Junior membership available. Six week course for juniors usually held each year starting May. Contact Secretary for further details.
