General Description

The Rooms consist of a main hall, kitchen and a small committee room, plus toilets (including disabled persons facilities). The premises are centrally heated. The premises have WiFi and the password to connect to this facility is available from the Lettings Officer.

The main hall or the committee room can be booked separately.

Main Hall

The main hall, about 46ft long x 15ft wide, is multifunctional. There are 45 chairs, 8 oblong tables and 5 small square tables available to support different activities. There is a large serving hatch into the fitted kitchen. A blind across the roof light and a large projection screen, both electrically operated, means the hall is ideal for audio-visual presentations even on bright sunny days. These facilities are excellent for lectures, charity and craft events, exercise classes, art displays, small wedding receptions, children's birthday parties etc.

Committee Room

The Committee Room is about 15ft long x 10ft wide.  It contains a boardroom-style table, which can accommodate up to 15 chairs. This room is excellent for small meetings, interviewing, private parties, reunions, baby showers and similar activities.

The kitchen has a hob and oven, a larder fridge, a microvave oven, a hot water urn, crockery and cutlery, so teas and coffees and hot food can be prepared.

There is a ladies toilet and a mens/disabled toilet.   The ladies toilet has baby changing facilities.


Parking and Transport

There is parking for 2 or 3 vehicles at the rear of the premises and easy access to the rooms for the less mobile.

Bus stops are close by for transport to Chelmsford, Basildon and Billericay Rail station which is only a few minutes walk away.

There is ample parking in the Basildon Borough Car Parks off the High Street.
