Parish Councillors

The Parish Council consists of 11 unpaid councillors.  There were 9 nominees for the May 2011 elections who were all returned uncontested.  2 further councillors were subsequently co-opted at the meetings held on 4 July and 5 September 2011.

 Due to the resignation of a councillor in October 2011, a replacement councillor was co-opted at the meeting held on 9 January 2012.  Due to the resignation of a further councillor in February 2013 and the disqualification of another in April 2103 in accordance with Section 86 of the LG Act 72, there are currently 2 vacancies to be filled either by election or co-option.

Councillors' Register of Interests and Dispensations

Councillors  must declare all interests they have under any of the categories in the Councillor's Code of Conduct.  You can find a copy of the Code by clicking here


Councillors must disclose these interests immediately after they are elected and whenever they are involved in taking a decision at the Parish Council that may affect these interests.

They must also notify the Parish Clerk and Monitoring Officer at Chelmsford City Council so that they can be added to the Register of Members Interests.
