Week Commencing 15th March 2010 BAE Selex "C" can now be crowned Champions of the First Division, leading by a massive 28 points no other team can match their points total and they- confirmed their superiority with a comprehensive 10 - 0 away win at Billericay Sports "D" - Colin Clements, Alby Warner and Paul Brown were far too strong for the home side of Mick Joslin, Brian Cole and Nigel Swanton - both Joslin and Cole allowed decent advantages to slip away and were unable to regain the initiative.Buttsbury "A" dented the hopes of Writtle "A" finishing up as Runners- up in a 5 - 5 draw at Buttsbury "A" thanks to a measured hat trick from George Pavitt - showing all of his old Premier Division ability he lost only one end all evening and that to Mathew Brown(2 wins) in the last singles of the match while completing three end wins over Hector Rogers and Ian Hockley - the last named losing 10/12, 9/11, 10/12 - Sue Body gained one point with a five end win over Rogers - losing the first two ends but putting up sterling defence to take the next three 6/11, 8/11, 12/10, 14/12, 11/9 - Caroline Cole unfortunately pointless with the doubles point going to Buttsbury.
