Alan Bullard receives honorary doctorate

On October 4^th, Alan Bullard received the honorary degree of Doctor of the University of Essex at an awards ceremony at Colchester Institute, in recognition of his reputation as a composer and his contribution to music education.  This is the first honorary doctorate to be granted as a result of the new partnership between Colchester Institute and the University of Essex.

Alan said "It was a lovely day and I felt very honoured. The hat and gown looked nice too....
