Following the excessive rainfall in Dedham in June of last year and the extensive flooding which affected some parts of the village and particular properties the Parish Council has sought to engage with the Environment Agency and Local Authorities in order to seek help for those affected; to identify the underlying causes and to discuss potential preventative action for the future.

This Forum, the Programme for which is alongside, is the result of our discussions and we hope that this event will be well supported by both residents who were affected and those with potential concerns for the future. Both residents and businesses who have concerns about these issues are encouraged to attend and we also welcome residents who simply wish to be better informed about water management issues within and around our Parish.

The objective of this event is to publish information about water management within the Dedham area, the pinch points that we need to watch for, to identify help from professional agencies and local authorities that may be available and to seek advice on preventative measures that might be taken by both residents and the Parish Council as may be appropriate.

I look forward to seeing you.

Cllr. Sheila Beeton.

Chair, Dedham Parish Council.

ANY DEDHAM RESIDENTS WHO HAVE AN INTEREST IN ANY OF THE TOPICS COVERED BY THIS FORUM ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.
