A proposal to transform Hadleigh town centre focusing on the island where the fire station and library are situated. This is an exciting and visionary project that will involve and include the whole community.
Harmonie is Rayleigh based windband which performs around ten concerts per years, many in aid of local charities. We have a wide repertoire with something to suit most tastes. If you play a brass, woodwind or percussion instrument why not join us! We rehearse on a Wednesday night and there are no auditions.

Hearing Help Essex (HHE) is a Chelmsford based charity. Offering practical help, support and guidance, they work with those who have lived in the hearing world and now find themselves unable to hear as effectively. HHE’s area of operation is Mid-Essex, covering Chelmsford, Maldon, & Braintree. Clients living outside this area are welcome to visit the Resource Centre in Chelmsford.

New Hockley Village Women's Institute
A brand new daytime Women's Institute has opened in Hockley. Meetings are held on the 3rd Friday of every month at the Old Firestation (opposite Hockley Library) from 10am - 12pm.
They are looking for new members aged 18-118! Everyone welcome!
Home-Start is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under 5 years of age. Volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress, in their own homes, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown. We provide this service for families within the Braintree District.
The Hullbridge Gardens Association was formed over 60 years ago as a local response to the ‘dig for victory’ campaign to enable like minded people to express & develop their interest in home grown vegetables, fruit & flowers.
It now operates a local gardening shop (see opening times), runs an annual Flower/vegetable show plus supports the local allotment group.
The association is a non profit making organisation acting as agent for the Crouch Harbour Authority.
The mooring area dries at low tide & boats must be able to take the ground.
Boat length is restricted by the Harbour Authority to 9 metres max.
Mooring holders are responsible for setting & maintaining the mooring mooring alloted to them.
An initiative to raise awareness and enhance enjoyment of the rich and diverse heritage within an area of around 450 square miles of northwest Essex, northeast Hertfordshire and south Cambridgeshire, at the same time strengthening the protection of that heritage through a holistic approach.
A lively Circle Dance group for 40+ at St Peter’s Church Hall, Hutton on Wednesday afternoons during term time.
With folk dances and music from around the world, circle dance is a great way to gently improve fitness and have fun. There are no complicated moves and you don’t need a partner.
