THE FUTURE OF SERVICE 11A

Service 11A is operated under contract to Essex County Council. It does not meet the maximum service subsidy level of £5 per passenger journey and is at risk of being withdrawn. The County Council will be looking at alternative ways of providing the service with the aim of reducing costs and increasing passenger numbers. This might include improved publicity, modifying the existing service to better fit passenger needs, or looking at an alternative form of service to replace it, such as community transport. It might also be withdrawn and not replaced.

The County Council is currently consulting on the future of this service. If you have any comments or suggestions please send them to Robert Overall, Executive Director of Environment, Sustainability & Highways, Essex County Council, Chelmsford CM1 1QH by 22nd. January, 2010.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT ABOUT A SERVICE

Complaints should include date, scheduled time of service and direction of journey (e.g. Southend to Chelmsford) and details of complaint.
