Parcel Delivery Service Scam

STOP PRESS. BEWARE!

If you get a card through your door from a company called P.D.S. (parcel delivery service) asking you to telephone a 09-------- number to arrange delivery of a parcel IGNORE IT.

The number is a premium rate number, and will probably cost you £1-50 per minute and once connected if you wait for several minutes for a message etc. it could cost you £10 to £15.

 A variation on this theme is a recorded telephone message asking you to ring a similar number to arrange delivery of a parcel. As above it will cost you money for nothing.

Do not ring a 09-----  number unless you know exactly what it is for. 

Genuine companies will never ask you to call a premium rate number. They may give you a chargeable number but the cost will be in Pence not Pounds.

Both of these scenarios are scams and there are probably others. Be aware don’t get caught out!
