Thoughts from the Chair -

Is that another month gone - how time flys when you are having fun.

As I look out my window today the sun is gallantly trying to shine and the little bulbs are pushing their way from the cold ground, Spring at last? Maybe. It has been a long, long winter let us hope that we have a wonderful summer, with hours and hours of sunshine.

Elmstead in Bloom was busy on the south green today, erecting the new planters I am sure they will look beautiful, while I am 'at it' I would personally like to thank the Team for doing all the hard work making the village a lovely and colourful place to live.

My time as Chair is sadly closing (re-election, who knows) I have learned a great deal, met many varied and interesting people, written many words and talked a lot (what's new) I have enjoyed the experience and hope I have served the village well.

My thanks to the Parish Councillors, Cathy and the Villagers for putting up with me (yes I am a hot head sometimes) It is a hard job and to do it well you need to give your time,energy, talk to people nicely and above all get THINGS DONE.
