Information, advice and support


  • provides epilepsy information, advice and support sessions at Cornerstone, Sir Isaacs Walk, Colchester on the first Friday morning every month (please ring for appointment 01206 546446)
  • provides information, advice and support at other times by telephone or by appointment in person
  • helps to increase public awareness by organising local conferences, information events and media publicity
  • visits local professionals and other organisations: schools, employers, youth groups and other health-based charities to discuss how they can maximise their provision and support to people with epilepsy
  • visits PCT medics to inform them of the services provided by Epilepsy Action both locally and nationally, and how this can benefit their patients.

Epilepsy Action has a wide range of literature. Topics include: New to Epilepsy, Children, Education, Women, Employment, Later Life, Treatment, Difficult to Control Epilepsy, Alcohol & Recreational Drugs, Driving, Learning Disabilities, Safety, Sport and Leisure.
