Railway Crossing Closures

The Public Inquiry into Network Rail's Transport and Works Act Order to close about 65 at-grade non-vehicular crossings in Essex, Southend, Thurrock, LB Havering & East Herts opened on Wednesday 18th October in Chelmsford. 

THE INQUIRY HAS BEEN ADJOURNED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

We will publish revised arrangements as soon as they are available

The Inquiry is expected to last 20+ days and will move around Essex after the first week.

Network Rail have announced that the Fullers End crossing is a candidate for closure.

These proposals and the feedback you provided are now being considered. More information on which proposals will progress into the Transport and Works Act Orders were  published in spring 2017.

March 31st  2017 - The Transport & Works Act Order has  been submitted by Network Rail to the Secretary of State.
