February 2010

Dear Member Council,

The EALC with the Essex County Training Partnership manage a large programme of Clerk and Councillor training, with the majority of courses held at Great Dunmow, during the day.

As you will appreciate, moving courses around the County creates a huge logistical problem, however this is attempted where possible.  The EALC also run short courses at Council premises in the evening or on a Saturday.

We have been asked to deliver more courses during evenings.  We are therefore consulting with you to ensure that EALC is meeting its Member Councils’ needs.

We invite your input and have attached information and a survey for your perusal which we would ask that you complete and return to us by 16th April 2010.

You may wish to make copies of the attached as we welcome responses from any number of individuals on each Member Council on their own preferences.  If you wish to return the survey via email, please contact marisa.baltrock@ealc.gov.uk for an electronic version of the attached.

Once the Consultation period closes, the EALC will analyse the responses and inform the Membership of the outcomes.

Yours faithfully,

Joy Sheppard BA (Hons) FILCM

Chief Executive Officer
