The national campaign to improve cinema access for people with learnings and people with ASC has been so successful that autism friendly film screens are to take place at 55 Odeon cinemas across the UK.
The screenings means thousands of people will now have better access and improved choice to watch films with the lights left on low, the volume turned down, trailers are omitted and people can move around the cinema or make a noise.
Carers and support staff accompanying the person can get in free with a card obtainable from the cinema [in advance] which can be used time and again.
