In association with our parent company we are able to offer a theatrical costume & prop hire service for schools, colleges, organisations and individuals for stage, screen and costumed events.
We know what putting on a production takes. There are not only actors to deal with, but props, costumes, tickets, programmes, lighting and set. If you’re lucky you have a dedicated team to whom you can delegate and rely but even they might need some help. That’s where our range of services comes in.
We have costumed many shows from children’s characters for parties to Shakespeare, and provided props for many themed events and productions. We are currently in the process of making a full complimant of costumes for Oliver! and Annie and scourcing costumes for a present day film on knife crime.
Most of our costumes are made in house or brought items that authenticate a specific era. With a phone call we can even accomodate those last minute "mum I forgot to tell you" late night or early morning pick ups.
We have uniforms, butlers’ outfits, frock coats, suits and breeches for the men, bustles, capes, bodices, dresses and skirts for the girls. We cover all eras from medieval right up to the present day.
We are always interested in improving our stock so if we don’t have exactly the costume you’re looking for we may be in a position to find it for you or even to design and make it ourselves!
PROP FINDER GENERAL
If your production requires a specific prop then why not pass the responsibility onto our prop finding service and we will search for you. Then, depending on the item you can either buy it from us or hire it. You can even send us a copy of the script and will go through it for you.
LIVING HISTORY
Teaching your class about the first or second world war? Holding an exhibition? Then why not let us introduce some living history by providing authentic items which you can actually hold and try on. We have facsimiles of ration books, gas-masks and soldiers’ uniforms as well as genuine newspapers from the time. So much more interesting then pictures in a book.
