Galleywood Heritage Centre

The Galleywood Parish Council initiative to lease and internally refurbish the unused Chelmsford Borough Council depot building on Galleywood Common is now complete. The Centre was handed over to the Charity Trustees and officially opened by the Mayor of Chelmsford, Cllr Tony Sach, on Saturday 14th November 2009

Which rooms are available for hire?
The downloadable booking calendar indicates current availability - Blue for the Main Hall and Red for the Heritage Room. Hiring starts at 9.00am and stops at 11.30pm each day. To confirm your booking contact the Centre.

What Activities are Available?

For information about the Heritage Room and our archives please select the Heritage Group link from the side menu bar.
The Horseshoe Tea Room is now open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, from the 5th May to 13th June, serving a varied menu of drinks and light refreshments from Noon - 4.00pm.
Opening dates for the remainder of June and July will updated shortly, subject to Main Hall and Kitchen availability, and suggest checking by phone on 01245 357700 before travelling.
