The Galleywood Listening Bench

'You Are Hear : Sound and Sense of Place' 

An Oak bench housing a digital recorder, provided by the Essex Sound and Video Project, has been installed at the Galleywood Heritage Centre. In partnership with the Galleywood Historical Society - Oral History Group and the Galleywood Heritage Centre, volunteers have installed short audio clips taken from interviews with residents, talking about their memories of growing up and living in Galleywood.
