The Society aims to promote interest in the history of Galleywood, and collect and preserve relevant data.
It was founded in 1998, and has a current paid-up membership of 85.
An annual programme of talks by both invited speakers and members is always well attended, to which visitors are most welcome.
A newsletter 'Past Times' is published quarterly, with articles of local historical interest contributed mainly by members.
