This was the third annual 10k Road Race for High Easter and it could not have happened without the time, effort and support of so many people in and around the village.
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to all those that have given their time/equipment and support to this very worthy fundraiser.
A special mention must go to the following people:
Mr. Howard Jardine from Grange Farm and Dunmow Runners who kindly advertised and spread the word about our race.
Allison Ward for her excellent coordination of all the course marshalling.
Alistair Brown for excellent course management. He sets out at 6am to mark the course and then has to take it all back down again after the race.
The Race Marshals who volunteer to give up their time and don a high vis jacket to keep the course route clear and safe.
Lucy and Will O'Connor who brilliantly manned the BBQ and ensured all the runners were fed after the race.
John Le Huquet for being our charismatic "race announcer".
Mrs. Smith who runs the water station and made sure there was plenty of cold fresh water at the 5K mark.
Robert Lodge and the High Easter Parish Council for letting us use the sports field and private land for parking and for the use of Chitty Bang Bang this year!
The Village Hall Committee for the use of the hall and facilities.
Mrs Pat Devanny and team for refreshing the team and runners with tea/coffee and cakes.
