Notice is hereby given that the next meeting of the FINANCE AND GENERAL PURPOSES COMMITTEE of the Leigh-on-Sea Town Council will take place on Tuesday 4th December 2007 at the Council Offices, 67 Elm Road, Leigh-on-Sea commencing at 8.00 p.m., when it is hoped to transact the following business.

The Personnel Sub-Committee is meeting in the afternoon of 4th Dec. It is hoped that Minutes may be available for the meeting, if not, the Chairman of Personnel Sub-Committee will give a verbal report

 

6. POLICY

a)    Protocol with Southend

7. PREMISES

       

a)    Signs for the office

The remaining sign to be agreed is the sign at the front of the building. The recommendation is that the sign should be in Arial font, not in upper case, and not have the Town Council's logo, but that the logo should be etched on the window below the sign (see examples attached)

 

8. ADMINISTRATION

       

a)    Christmas Closure

The Town Clerk recommends that the office should be closed from normal closing time on Friday 21st December, re-open at normal time on Monday 31st December.

This is 5 working days, of which 2 are bank holidays. Therefore, 3 days will come from staff holiday entitlement                      

b)    Office opening hours

In order to ensure that the signs are up to date, the Committee is asked to review the hours that the office is open to the public. See Report 1363/TC attached. 

 

c)     Corporate Image

9.  F & G.P. BUDGETS 2007/8

        For General Purposes Budgets, see Budget Reports within the Finance Section.

 

10. F & G.P. BUDGETS 2008/9

        See 2nd provisional Office budget and 2nd provisional salaries budget. Following agenda item 15, this item may need to be reconsidered if the Committee is not able to recommend the budget to Council

        The Committee is asked to consider the budget and either

a)    Recommend its acceptance to Council, or
