Tommy War Memorial Unveiling

and Events

Afternoon Tea

Friday June 28th 2pm

Tommy’s official unveiling by the Lord Lieutenant of Essex

Start time 2pm, with the Lord Lieutenant arriving at 2.30pm and the unveiling will be shortly after.

We have chosen the date as it is 100 years since the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, which officially ended the state of war.

Once the unveiling has taken place, there will be afternoon tea and cakes in the marquee on the common.

Party on the Common

6.30pm

If you are unable to make the afternoon event, from 6.30pm.

Beer tent, barbeque and live music, to celebrate this very special day for the village

Help Required

If you are able to supply a cake, whether home made or bought, for the afternoon, that would be much appreciated.

If you can help serve teas, coffees and cakes, during the afternoon, that would also be helpful.

Please contact the Parish Chairman, if you are able to assist in any way

Kind regards
