The War Memorial
The War Memorial can be found on the junctions of Kelvedon Rd, Braxted Rd and Tiptree Rd. It it commemorates Charles Oscar Wilson who lived at Heath House in Little Braxted Parish. It is believed his parents, William and Elizabeth Wilson made a major donation towards the Memorial and Charles had a whole panel to himself which is personalised with "To the Memory of Our Son". The War Memorial is a Listed Building.
Commemorating those that have served and died in the World Wars, the memorial becomes the focal point of the Parishes of Little and Great Braxted and Wickham Bishops every Remembrance Sunday. The Parishioners of these villages join in with the traditional service on this day and the laying of the Wreaths.
The Parish Council organises this service.
