Adult Carer Support
We have 4 Support Workers and the Adult Team Leader supporting Carers across Mid Essex ( Maldon, Chelmsford and Braintree Districts) We can support any Carer from the age of 18 (Under 18’s please see our Young Carers page)
We can offer the following services:
One to One Visits
One of our support workers can meet with you at your home, here at the centre, at one of our outreach centres or in a mutually convenient place. The aim is to provide you with information, support and a listening ear.
Personal Support
We can assist with navigating through Health and Social Care Services. This can include support in meetings, help filling in forms, crisis management or even speaking to the statutory bodies on your behalf if necessary..
Information Provision
Our support workers are incredibly talented at research and problems solving, and if it’s something that we are unable to help with we will do our best to signpost you to someone who can..
Individual Funding Opportunities
We have information on possible grant opportunities for Carers where a need is presented.
Telephone Contact
If required one of our support workers or volunteers will call regularly to provide support and a listening ear.
Courses/Activities
We aim to run a course for Carers in each area every quarter. Previous courses have included Stress Management and Computer Skills.
