Welcome to the Marks Tey Parish Council website

Marks Tey Parish Council includes the villages of Marks Tey and Little Tey.

Both are situated approximately six miles west of Colchester.

The Council provides recreation facilities, including a children's playground, skateboard park, basketball court, football pitches and the Parish Hall complex.

The Parish Hall has three halls available for hire and information about them (and hiring enquiries) can be found on the Parish Hall Hire page of this website.

The anticipated start date for the bridge works has been revised to Monday 19 November 2018.

The first phase of works will involve vegetation clearance, the installation of the temporary footway and the diversion of utility services in the carriageway.  This work will be carried out during November and December 2018 under a temporary road closure.

The road will be re-opened over Christmas before closing early in the New Year for the second phase of works to begin which will involve the removal and replacement of the current structure under a road closure.

Advance warning signs will be placed on site and diversions in place during road closures.
