Welcome to the Marks Tey Parish Council website


Marks Tey Parish Council includes the villages of Marks Tey and Little Tey.

Both are situated approximately six miles west of Colchester.



The Council provides recreation facilities, including a children's playground, skateboard park, basketball court, football pitches and the Parish Hall complex. For a list of clubs and associations that regularly use our hall, please click here

The Parish Hall has three halls available for hire and information about them (and hiring enquiries) can be found on the Parish Hall Hire page of this website.

Please note that Highways England and Essex County Council will be holding a Public Information event at Marks Tey Parish Hall on Tuesday 7 February 2017 between 1pm and 8pm

A120 / A12 ROADWORKS 2017 

The A120 through Marks Tey and the A12 south slip road at Marks Tey are being resurfaced starting on Monday 9th January 2017 until May 2017. The roadway, footpaths, streetlights, signs, and fences will be worked upon between 20.00 and 06.00. Please see the attached for details of roadworks.

Office Opening Hours 

Parish Clerk - Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 to 15:30

Premises Manager & Assistant Clerk - Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 to 14:00 

Christmas 2016 / New Year 2017 - The Parish Council Offices will be closed from 15.30 on Thursday 22 December 2016 until Tuesday 3 January 2017 at 9.30
