Mashbury is independent of the neighbouring parishes of Chignal, Good Easter and Pleshey although the total population is under eighty.
The area is very beautiful and isolated although only eight miles from Chelmsford. Agriculture is mainly arable although horse livery is becoming increasingly important to the economy.
Mashbury has no defined area of settlement or centre being spread along three roads. There are no public services available within the Parish area.
Contact with the Parish can be made via the Chair of the Parish Meeting.
Mashbury is a small rural parish, north of Chelmsford. It is special in that there is no Parish Council. Instead, Parish meetings are open to all residents.
