Introduction

Mundon is a small village around 3 miles from Maldon town towards the Dengie peninsula. Around 300 people live in the village, which is largely rural, with some farm diversification and light industry and a few larger companies providing local employment.  It can be said Mundon is a cosmopolitan village – proud of its history and rural tradition and encompassing change where necessary.

The Parish council is within the administrative jurisdiction of Maldon District Council, Althorne ward. 

We hope you find our website informative and interesting.  As well as providing information about the responsibilities and activities of the Parish Council, we include information about the village itself - its history, amenities, events, businesses etc. The 'readership' is increasing and already we have had 'visitors' from Ireland, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Sweden, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Mexico, Columbia, Chile, Brazil, Canada, USA, India, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa!!!
