Community Minibus for hire

The council’s new 17 seater automatic mini bus is available for hire to community groups and clubs. 

 

A small booking fee and costs per mile are applicable. 

 

Users need to provide their own drivers (aged 25 – 70) who are covered under the Council’s insurance scheme. 

 

Drivers do not need to hold the County Minibus License as they are able to drive the minibus under the terms of their own driving licence. 

 

All Groups/Clubs need to hold a Section 19 Permit. 

Application forms are available from the office and when completed sent direct to VOSA.  This Permit then belongs to each individual Group/Club and must be displayed in the minibus during their hire time.  It is required to cover fees/subscriptions charged to passengers.

The Permit is valid for 3 years at a cost of approx. £15.

 

 

 

If you have trips planned or wish to transport groups of people then why not use the community minibus.  (The minibus is not available for private hire).
