New Short Mat Update:
At the full committee meeting in May our case was put for a new short mat on the basis that we had fulfilled all that was asked. The vote was to purchase a mat "if funds allow".
There has been no full committee meeting since June.
A meeting is being planned for September. The short mat committee has now been asked to give details of "numbers" who play.The short mat committee will try and meet in August to formulate our response. If you have any comments please email the administrator on the contacts page.
A mixed club offering indoor short mat bowls to all ages.
Rochford Bowling Club is one of the few mixed clubs in Essex. Affiliated to the English Short Mat Bowling Association and Essex County Short Mat Bowls Association.
Our indoor short mat season runs from mid October to the end of March.The club has internal leagues which are played on certain mornings,afternoons and evenings.When no league is playing members are welcome to come along for a 'roll-up'.
All ages and abilities are welcome.
Coaching can be provided.
If you want gentle exercise,a good laugh and make new friends then come along and see us.
