Great Baddow Community Association (GBCA),
Great Baddow Community Association (GBCA), which runs the Millennium Centre in Great Baddow, Chelmsford recently handed over a cheque for £1,100 to their nominated charity, RSPCA Mid Essex Branch.
Marilyn Hobrough, Secretary of GBCA commented: “We are pleased to be able to donate this money to the RSPCA Mid Essex Branch. This past year through raffles and smaller donations from groups who use the centre, we have raised this money that goes to support our nominated charities. We like to give the money raised back to the local community.”
Receiving the cheque from Marilyn, Clive Vallis, Chair of RSPCA Mid Essex Branch said: “We are very grateful for the Great Baddow Community Association’s support. RSPCA Mid Essex raises all of its funds locally from individual donations and do not receive any government or lottery funding. This is a fantastic sum of money raised, which will be used to support our welfare work to help animals in the local mid Essex area including funding our veterinary clinic in Great Baddow.”
