School children fundraise for local animals

Children from Ingatestone & FryerningJuniorSchool handed over a cheque for £1,000 to the RSPCA Mid Essex Branch at their leavers’ service in July 2011 at St Edmund & St Mary’s Church, Ingatestone.

Phillip Manterfield, Head Teacher at IngatestoneJuniorSchool commented: “We are pleased to be able to donate this great sum of money to the RSPCA Mid Essex Branch.  The schoolchildren organised various fundraising activities and the local RSPCA was nominated as a worthy cause to receive this year’s sum of money raised.  Well done to the children for your fundraising efforts.”

Receiving the cheque from the Head Teacher, Clive Vallis, Chair of RSPCA Mid Essex Branch said: “Thanks to the children from Ingatestone & FryerningJuniorSchool for all of their hard work in support of RSPCA Mid Essex which is much appreciated.  This is a fantastic sum of money raised, which will be used to support our welfare work to help animals in the local mid Essex area including supporting our veterinary clinic in Great Baddow.”
