Sandon WI Keep Fit which is held on Monday mornings from 9.30 to 10.30 is urgently in need of finding two members to run the class. This class is lead by our trainer Peter Bryan who is very fit and is very keen on competing in triathlons. He goes off for weekends to train in Spain where it is warmer. The class starts off with warm-ups - marching, stretching and increasing our stamina ready for the circuit which follows. This consists of weights, stretchy bands, floor exercises, balancing on one leg, lunges and squats and press-ups, stepping up and down stairs, slam ball, floor exercises such as the bridge, sit-up crunch, the plank, spotty dog and a few more. As an advance on what we have been doing, we have just started doing exercises as a group, instead of the circuit; which is a bit more testing and rings the change and stops us getting bored by the same routine!
