Following the 2 successful patchwork classes held on 27th February and 27th March a further meeting was held in the St. Andrew's Room on Thursday 29th May 2014 at 2pm.

At this meeting on 29th May we were shown bags, a pin cushion and a pot stand by Dorothy Gray which can be made by using the different shapes in patchwork. Celia Kerslake spoke about the bags which she had made and were there for us to see. Rose Jewitt has made several bags but had none available for us to see today but also spoke to us. Dorothy told us she has a pattern for the bag she made if anyone would like to try making a bag themselves. She also went on to explain what some of the different shapes in patchwork could be used to make. Dorothy also had a template to make cathedral windows and was showing several people how this was made and fitted together. The afternoon soon flew by.

It is proposed to have further Patchwork meetings and the next is on the 30th October 2014 at 2pm-4pm in the St. Andrew's Room at Sandon Church. The cost will be £1 per meeting to cover tea and biscuits and a small donation to the Church for use of the room. It is hoped to hold a meeting in any month that has a fifth week.
