Title The Witches of Elizabethan Essex - Wethersfield

Wethersfield History Group

The Witches of Elizabethan Essex

It’s September again and a new season of History Group Talks hopefully will compensate for cooler weather, falling leaves and darker evenings.  The first Autumn meeting next Thursday 12th September is a talk by Kate Cole about the Witches of Elizabethan England.  Kate is an author, genealogist and historian specialising in the history of our area, the East of England.
The subject intrigues me as I am sure being termed a witch in medieval times was not a good thing, but how and why it could or did happen, I have no idea.  No doubt Kate will tell us more and I know from others she is an interesting and informative speaker

Meetings are normally held in The Pavilion, Hedingham Rd Wethersfield CM7 4BZ, on the second Thursday of each month at 8.00pm

£2.00 at the door to include tea or coffee - All Welcome.

If you wish to be notified of History Groups events please give your e-mail address to the committee member taking monies at the door

We now have a complete programme for the coming year which I hope you will find interesting  - Program for 2019
