St Andrew's Parish Church of Shalford Essex is within the Diocese of Chelmsford together with Finchingfield, Wethersfield and Cornish Hall End

Almost every generation has left its mark on our ancient St Andrew Parish Church which serves this small village of about 650 people. In all probability, the present building was erected on the site of an earlier Norman structure, as is evidenced by the clasping buttresses on the lower part of the Tower, indicating a 12th century origin.

St Andrew Shalford, welcomes all visitors and various leaflets about the church and contents are available within the porch

Active supporters

Parish Church of St Andrew Shalford, has an active group of supporters
known as 'Friends of St Andrew's Church' [FOSTAC].

FOSTAC was formed in 2006 as a non religious group to raise funds for the improvement of facilities within the church, current project is to provide a toilet and kitchen/meeting room. Building work commenced July 2009 with completion expected by the New Year.
