Formed in 1985 by a group of cricketers from Braintree Cricket Club who wanted to keep fit during the winter, CFC stands for Cricket Football Club. Originally CFC Braintree the club progressed from division 4 of the Braintree & North Essex Sunday League to the premier division in successive seasons The club have always run a first and a reserve team. They currently play in Division 3 of the BNESL. Over the past few seasons players from this side have always acquitted themselves admirably when asked to step up to the first team, They have also had there successes along the way winning the Malcolm Foy Reserve Trophy on 3 occasions and 3 Divisional championships |
