Bags of Help for local projects

Shalford Village Hall replacement gang mowers project has been accepted by Tesco’s as a beneficiary of the Blue Token Scheme when you use a plastic bag whilst shopping. [Or Ask for One!]

The gang mowers used to cut the grass on the recreation ground at the village hall are old and beyond economical repair, so we applied to Tesco’s Bags of Help scheme for funding to replace them

This will apply in all the local Tesco branches Gt Notley, Marks Farm, Coggeshall Road, Town Centre from 1st July until 31st August

Please save all your tokens until the above qualifying date, the project with the highest numbers is awarded £4,000 with the minimum at £1,000

Bags of Help is Tesco’s exciting local community grant scheme where the money raised by the sale of carrier bags is being used to fund thousands of local projects in communities right across the UK.  Projects that bring benefit to their community will get the green light – these range from improving community buildings and outdoor spaces to buying new equipment, training coaches or volunteers and hosting community events.
