Newspicture01

The Shalford Branch of the Workers Educational Association (WEA) has been doing a course studying The Story of Parliament tutored by Roger Cooke, a well-known local historian.

The course has been attended by 26 local people and as part of their studies went on a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament as guests of James Cleverly MP.

Along with a very knowledgeable tour guide he gave a very informative talk on the history of parliament.

The group is pictured here with James Cleverly inside Westminster Hall. The branch, which is non-political, will be starting a new course after the summer of 2018 and all people would be very welcome.

Further details will follow in the spring - view >>Shalford WEA<<
