Shalford Fun Day

Shalford Village Hall committee organised a Shalford Funday on Sunday 17th September as a community project and a means of raising extra funding for the New Village Hall roof. Being only a very small committee, many thanks goes to all that helped on the day from those that assisted with erecting the marquees, to the donations of cakes and raffles including the tombola stall. Special thanks to Nigel Lawes for the bar and Anna Blumfield from Deersbrook Farm who managed the Barbecue, with Alice Cox and the Bendlowes Trust team for teas and Vic Goodey organising an Indoor Bowls demonstration, Barbara Mavis giving an insight into our growing history group.

With our chairman and secretary missing due to family illness, vice chairman Andrew Hull took up the reins organising the Bar also the Dog Show which proved very successful with best behaved, veteran and waggle classes and many children joining in to show their pets.

Many thanks to anyone else not mentioned, who helped to make the event a successful day and we hope to make this an annual future event
