Current Priorities

Priority 1: Dwelling Burglaries

There have been a number of burglaries in the Shotgate area, mainly in the Avenue's. The majority of these burglaries are from the front door being forced open and entry being gained. To combat this, Wickford Neighbourhood Policing Team have given local residents advice through the door to protect your property and during the evenings and early hours of the morning police patrols have been increased. If you hear anything at night that sounds out of the ordinary, please contact the police. We rather it be a false alarm than an actual burglary taking place.

Priority 2:

Speeding vehicles in the Wickford North Ward. The main hotspot areas of speeding pointed out to the Wickford Policing Team are: -Southend Road & Hodgson Way. During school closing times on Beauchamps Drive and Hill Avenue

Wickford Police are carrying out a number of high visability speed checks in the area.
