of music that you would like to hear? Advertise in our programme

For instance copyright laws mean that hiring music for most popular modern music is
prohibitively expensive. Similarly, hiring suitable venues within a
reasonable budget is restricted to venues that are less than perfect.We Need your Help
There are two ways in which the Orchestra can be regularly supported;
By becoming an 'Associate Member' or 'Friend' of the Southend Philharmonic Orchestra...
Associate Membership
Associate Membership subscription includes admission to each of our
three concerts in a year. The tickets and additional information are
posted out in advance of the concerts. Subscription to become an
Associate Member is £15 (larger contributions are always welcome)
Become a Friend
Friends of the Orchestra receive mailed invitations for each concert
and a complimentary programme on the night. 'Friends' can volunteer to
help out on the night of the concert in return for free admission.

Gift-Aid it
As a registered charity, any donations
made by tax payers using Gift Aid will enable the Orchestra to reclaim 28p
in the pound from the Inland Revenue, effectively increasing the value of
your donation without costing you a penny. Tax payers may also sponsor a non tax payer for membership or other qualifying donations using the attached form. Higher rate tax payers may include the value of their donation made by Gift Aid in their tax return as an allowance against higher rate tax. Gift Aid donations are allowed provided the donor does not receive a benefit greater than 25% of the value of the gift. Further information may be obtained from the Inland Revenue.
