CHRISTMAS PANTOMIME - SATURDAY 29TH DECEMBER 2018
Cinderella arrived at Springfield Parish Centre on 29th December 2018,
to a hall of people who were entertained by Chaplin's Panto Company.
Plenty of hissing, cheering and booing took place during 2-hour performance.
This is the fifth successful year of the parish pantomime!
Special thanks to our sponsor Co-Op at Havengore, who provided prizes for
the best 'fancy' dressed children and a hamper full of goodies.
The Deputy Mayor of Chelmsford Mrs. Garrett had the unenviable task of choosing the winners.
CHAPLIN'S - ALADDIN - THE CHILDREN'S PANTOMIME - 29TH DECEMBER 2017

Aladdin arrived at Springfield Parish Centre on 29th December 2017, to a packed hall of over 120 people who were entertained by Chaplin's Gold Panto company. This was the fourth successful year of the parish pantomime.
Special thanks to our sponsors Charles David Casson and the Co-op at Havengore, who provided prizes for the best 'fancy' dressed children and a hamper full of goodies. The Mayor & Mayoress of Chelmsford, Cllr Duncan Lumley and Mrs. Lumley had the unenviable task of choosing the winners. |
SPRINGFIELD PARISH COMMUNITY GARDEN
Pat Ackrell, our garden volunteer, was recently recognised for all her hard work at the Mayor of Chelmford's Community Award Ceremony.
Pat was presented with a certificate and plant - thanks to her our garden is looking wonderful. |
CHAPLIN'S - DICK WHITTINGTON - THE CHILDREN'S PANTOMIME - 30TH DECEMBER 2016
On Friday 30th December 2016 Chaplin's performed the pantomime Dick Whittingdon at the Springfield Parish Centre.
A packed hall were entertained and there was plenty of cheering, hissing and booing taking place during the two hours of entertainment.
This is the third successful year of the parish panotmime.
Many thanks to everyone that came along and supported our event. It is apprciated and makes it all worthwhile. |

CHAPLIN'S - JACK AND THE BEANSTALK - 12 DECEMBER 2015
On Saturday 12th December 2015 Chaplin's performed the pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk at the Springfield Parish Centre.
Everyone throughly enjoyed the performance and the show was a great success.

Springfield's Got Talent Show - 21st March 2015
The Youth Council's most recent endeavour has been the ‘Springfield’s Got Talent Show’ in March.
Attended by Councillor Sandra Pontin, the Deputy Mayor of Chelmsford the evening was another
success and enjoyed by everyone.

CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS PARTY - 13th December 2014
More congratulations to our Youth Council for organising another amazing christmas party at the Parish Centre.
Even Father Christmas popped in to see the children! He stayed and had a dance with them before rushing off
to continue his busy schedule organising his Christmas day deliveries.
CHELMSFORD SUGAR CRAFT GUILD
On Monday 8th December 2014 our Boleyn Room was taken over by a hoard of chocolate Santas beautifully decorated by members of the Chelmsford Sugar Craft Guild.

SPRINGERS AMATEUR OPERATIC AND DRAMATIC SOCIETY
Springer AODS held a concert between 4th - 6th December 2014 in the Bowers Hall titled 'I Love Musicals'. Ray Caruana was the special guest and the cast performed songs from all the hit west end shows. |
SPRINGFIELD LIBRARY - November 2014
It is now a year since we opened the Parish Centre exensions and library. It has proved very popular with residents.
The library is open 36 hours each week and is staffed by 20 enthusiastic volunteers.
Over 40,000 people have visited it and taken out over 200,000 items. Visit's since January 2014 are 27,669 and 39,667 loans.
This summer we hosted the Mythical Maze Summer Reading challenge project in the branch library which saw 526 children
enjoy a summer of reading. The event was a great success with attendee figures being up 109 on last year's numbers of 417.
