Please note that Essex County Council will be closing a length of Apton Hall Raod/Gore Road / Creeksea Ferry Road from  the Stambridge Road junction to a point of Approximately 600 metres north of its junction with Pagelsham Road.

The Closure will be scheduled to commence on 30th March for 3 nights between 7.30pm to 6.30am.

The alternative route will be via Scotts Hall Road - Anchor Lane - Lambourne Hall Road.

Access for emergency service and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.

ESSEX AND SOUTH SUFFOLK SHORELINE MANAGEMENT PLAN

Public consultation for the draft SMP: 15 March to 18 June 2010

Key stakeholder drop-in: Thursday 11 March, 4pm-7pm, Marks Tey Village Hall, Old London Road CO6 1EN

Your opportunity to view the draft plan prior to the start date and our team will be available to answer your questions.

All of the drop-ins will be staffed by officers and members from the SMP partnership who will be there to answer your questions.  People will be able to view copies of the full draft plan with supporting appendices and also see the policy maps for that location.

From 15 March, the draft plan and appendices can also be downloaded from the website.  Paper copies can be seen at libraries in the coastal towns and at the following offices: Essex County Council, Suffolk County Council, Suffolk Coastal District Council, Babergh District Council, Ipswich Borough Council, Colchester Borough Council, Tendring District Council, Maldon District Council, Chelmsford Borough Council, Rochford District Council, Southend Borough Council, and the Environment Agency (Ipswich, Kelvedon and Chelmsford).

We would like to thank those Residents who attended the Trustees Meeting which took place on Wednesday 25th November at 8pm in the St Mary & All Saints Church Hal,  Residents that were present agreed to adopt the Resolution that Stambridge Parish Council will become the Sole Trustee of the Stambridge Memorial Hall and run the day to day management of the Hall.

This Resolution will be adopted at the Parish Counci Meeting on 7th December and a Committee set up.

Currently the Hall is closed for Refurbishment and the windows have had to be boarded up due to someone smashing them.

We hope to open the hall again in Spring 2010.
