Whats Happening in the Village

Recently the Parish has installed a new bus shelter in the village, replacing the one paid for by Bellway Homes, as this was getting to be very tatty and damaged.  If we are very lucky this one will stay free from graffitti.

New Shelter

Also a new shelter outside the Memorial Hall.

These have been funded by the community
inititive fund.

Rochford District have now placed a DOG BIN at the entrance to the public footpath at Ash Tree Court. Please if you have a dog use this bin!

New Dog Bin

Please if you see anyone using this bin for a boot scrapper or kicking it inform the parish council clerk. As this has been provided as a service and if it is abused it will be removed.

Also keep an eye on the village green outside of Stambridge Meadows nursing home, Stambridge Parish are sourcing funding to transform this once neglected area of the green in to a pleasant green for the residents to sit and enjoy the countryside, or even to just stop and relax on the benches we are hoping to place beneath the new Stambridge sign.  The design of which can be see on the Home page.

We have done some work on this site on the tree management side but as you can appriciate there is still a long way to go.
