The area off Inchbonnie Road to the rear of the Chetwood School site is designed to hold rainwater in the event of tidal flooding. There is a stream running through this area and there are a lot of frogs evident during the breeding season. The ground is inevitably quite wet and boggy but, like many areas of South Woodham, would become over-run with scrub such as blackthorn if this was not controlled. Litter is also a problem in this area. Volunteers meet from time to time to clear scrub and collect litter.
