Tendring Canoe Club was formed in 1993 to serve the needs of local people interested in furthering the sport of canoeing. We pride ourselves on providing a safe and fun environment in which to learn!

The club has BCU qualified coaches who can provide training for the BCU Star Tests, Canoe Safety Test, Aquatic First Aid courses, and Coach Training and Assessment courses.

The club is run on a voluntary basis and all coaches and helpers give their time freely to promote the sport and to make it available to all.

During the winter months there are Pool sessions at Walton Swimming Pool on most Saturday evenings, between 4.,45pm and 6.45pm. These need to be pre-booked and are run as two sessions lasting approx 50 mins each.

During the warmer months the club meets either on the River Stour at Cattawade, Manningtree or in the sea. There are frequent river trips both locally, and further afield, for the more advanced canoeist, both with Kayaks and Open canoes.

Membership runs from October each year, (but you can apply to join at any time of the year).
