Job vacancy: Service Development Officer (Team Leader).
Neighbourhood Services has a depot at Earlswood which provides a wide range of services to the residents of Reigate & Banstead through direct provision. They include Refuse Collection, Recycling, Cleansing and Grounds Maintenance.
As part of our change programme, we have established a new role of Service Development Officer (Team Leader).You will need to be a highly motivated self starter. Your role will require you to be confident in leading a small back office administrative team plus supporting the Recycling & Waste Co-ordinator to manage performance and standards monitoring.
You will have experience of operational databases and other information streams â knowledge of GIS would be an advantage. Some of the work will be undertaking site surveys and inspections and liaising with the operational team and the managers to improve services.You will also assist with project & task management.
Being an experienced team leader is essential as is being qualified to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience in an operational orientated environment. A full driving licence is essential.

Job vacancy: Capital Works Manager
The Health Protection Agency: protecting the nation's health.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) is an independent body that protects the health and well-being of everyone in England and Wales. The Agency plays a critical role in protecting people from infectious diseases and in preventing harm when hazards involving chemicals, poisons or radiation occur. We also prepare for new and emerging threats, such as a bio-terrorist attack or a virulent new strain of pathogen.
The Centre for Emergency Preparedness and Response is an internationally renowned centre of excellence for expertise, reference and research, surveillance and epidemiology in relation to micro-organisms that affect human health. The purpose built centre is well equipped and staffed and provides excellent Library, Occupational Health and Refectory facilities. There is also a Nursery on site.
The Engineering and Capital Works Department is responsible for the engineering maintenance, facilities services and capital works projects to the site. The Capital Works unit establishes a programme of capital expenditure identifying projects over a 5 year rolling programme in order to meet CEPRâs business objectives. The unit implements all capital works from inception to completion to time, cost and quality parameters and provides assurance to senior management that expenditure is controlled to meet allocated budgets and that completed works meet all safety, and environmental regulatory standards. Annual expenditure is in the range of £10m to £15m.
The Capital Works Manager, reporting to the Head of Engineering and Capital Works, will be required to develop, control and implement the Capital Works Programme. This is a prominent role within the organisation and requires a focused professional to deliver a key service to the business. Responsibility will include for the delivery of single and multi stranded projects to ensure completions to time, cost and quality and regulatory compliance and commissioning of external consultants and specialist Project Managers to deliver the range of complex research/pharmaceutical and non-complex building projects. The job holder will be required to provide specialist expert opinion and advice to Directors, Senior Management, and Internal Customers as well as interacting with your counterparts on other sites. You will need sound experience and confidence in delivering projects in a highly regulatory environment.
Due to the nature of the projects undertaken on site, you will need to have a background and understanding of processing, research or pharmaceutical related industry.

Role Description:
The Systems, Information and Technology (S.I.T.) team manages and maintains all Surrey Fire and Rescue Service systems including in-vehicle GIS, Radio and Communication infrastructure, Risk Data management, and Mobilising, as well as the development and support of the same.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a conscientious and professional team to process Site Specific Risk Information and support our department on a wide range of projects to ensure not only the safety of our fire crews, but also the people who live in and visit our County.
Based at Headquarters in Reigate, you will work processing risk-critical data from various sources for eventual display on our in-cab computers in operational vehicles. Preferably you will have worked in a quality assured environment, understanding the importance of accurate data, and may have worked in a similar mobile data environment in one of the Emergency Services. You will also need to respond to the constantly changing work priorities of this front-line service, helping us meet our transition to Regional working.
You will have excellent computer skills, and as an experienced MS Office user, be competent in Excel in particular. Some working knowledge of GIS (MapInfo/ESRI) is expected and knowledge of NLPG and mobile data an advantage. Your skills will be further enhanced by your ability to adapt to, and use, a wide range of other applications.
Good literacy and observation are essential in this role as you will be responsible for the quality of data made available to our firefighters in the event of an incident. Methodical, logical and with good observation for attention to detail, you must be dedicated to accuracy. In addition to this, you will possess good interpersonal skills with a requirement to interpret instructions correctly and have excellent electronic file management.

managing people since a team of Technical Support Consultants and Desktop Analysts will be under your remit. Change management experience at service level is also key, as is a clear understanding of the current and future
technological developments and their potential application within and for the council. Sound judgment and the ability to solve complex specialist problems should also come as second nature to you, whilst third party support management skills are also important.
As part of the councilâs HITS ITO project, this role is likely to transfer to a selected provider within the next 3 months

Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) is responsible for the development of high quality integrated transport services across Greater Manchester, and we are now recruiting for a Category Manager (Construction and Capital Procurement).
The primary role of the organisation is to safely facilitate the 265 million annual passenger journeys made across Greater Manchester â the largest city regional economy outside London â in what is a complex and changing stakeholder environment.
