Tollesbury Youth Council was established in 2016 following an increase in anti-social behaviour and lack of resources available to young people in our village.  We are very lucky to be supported by both Tollesbury Parish Council and Essex Youth Service.  We are entirely self resourced but apply for funding where possible – we keep all our fingers crossed!

The Youth Council is open to local young people between the ages of 12-19 and there are currently 12 young people sitting on the council.  They are supported by a team of adult volunteers.

We are very proud of our Youth Councillors who remain dedicated to making positive changes in the village, particularly for our young people.  The Youth Council supported the Tollsfest event in 2016 by running a stall and donated all their profits to local causes.  We think that the village is pretty lucky to have young people like that in our community!

We meet once a month and welcome the thoughts, views, opinions and ideas from local residents – in particular the younger generation.  We are currently working on a number of community and village initiatives to promote community cohesion and raise the profile of young people in our village.

We aim to keep people updated through our Facebook page and group (Tollesbury Youth Council) in addition to our email contact:  Please do make contact for any further information about the Youth Council.

We are always looking for sponsorship from local businesses!! Please keep us in mind J
