WEELEY IN BLOOM 2018
ANOTHER STOP PRESS
Fire Station on Weeley Heath - Large project to move the bench and litter bin to the side of a new tarmac path to the Notice Board with a flower bed ( ECC licence obtained). Grant received from the Postcode Lottery for £1,500
(There has been a slight delay in commencement of this improvement, as the existing bench and litter bin need replacing, which has been agreed by the Parish Council. We hope work will commence very soon in 2019)
We have managed to retain our High Silver - so it will be all hands to the pumps over the next few years to try and move us up the ladder to Silver Gilt - the judges have to see improvements every year, with attention to detail, in order for that to happen. We will be planting the troughs with daffodil bulbs and giant pansies once the geraniums are on their last legs, and also bulb circles at the foot of the Street and entrance to the Station. All helpers welcome, we could certainly do with a few more to join our happy band of Bloomers.
WE NEED YOU
If there are any gardeners or interested residents out there who feel they would like to become involved, then please contact us.
We are actively seeking new Committee members - why not come and join our happy band.
