Volunteers at work

Woodham Fenn is a nature reserve on the outskirts of South Woodham Ferrers owned by South Woodham Ferrers Town Council and managed in partnership with Essex Wildlife Trust. We are a group of enthusiastic volunteers of all ages and backgrounds who carry out conservation work to improve and revitalise the Fenn for the benefit of the wildlife and residents who visit the area.
We usually meet on the first Sunday in each month from September to April at 9.30 am at the small car park adjacent to the recycling centre on Ferrers Road. We usually work for around three hours and volunteers should wear suitable clothes for possibly muddy conditions and bring stout gardening type gloves and provide their own drinks.
