Inaugural General Meeting
Vote to formally constitute the Writtle Parish Plan Association
Election of Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer
MINUTES of INAUGURAL GENERAL MEETING of WRITTLE PARISH PLAN ASSOCIATION (held at the end of the workshop)
September 9th 2006 at Writtle Village Hall
1. Introduction The acting chairman of the Steering Group, Mr. Ralph Bray, thanked so many people for attending the Workshop and this inaugural meeting and briefly outlined how the Parish Plan would progress in the coming months. He estimated that it would take another 18 months or so to complete the process.
2. Constitution Mr. Bray explained the basics of the Writtle Parish Plan Constitution which had been on display during the meeting and proposed acceptance of the Constitution. This motion was seconded and all present voted in favour with no objections.
3. Election of committee It was agreed by all present that the existing officers and members of the steering group were hereby formally elected to the committee

Treasurer John Turner
Secretary Liz Roe
Publicity Stephen Robinson
Committee Members: Fred Anelli, Sue Bell, Peter Davidson, Susie Fowkes, Gordon Ingram, Caroline Yeo.
A number of others volunteered to join the Committee, namely, Reece Andrew, Gillian Brandon, Andrew Carter, Alison Jones and Bill Preston-Shoot.
4. Bank account John Turner explained the details of the bank account and proposed that the account be opened with HSBC bank; this was seconded and subsequently approved by the full meeting. It was agreed that in accordance with the mandate issued by the HSBC bank that there would be 3 signatures available for cheques etc. namely Ralph Bray, John Turner and Fred Anelli, whilst 2 would be sufficient for each signing. Liz Roe as Secretary would sign the mandate together with the Chairman.
5. Thanks The Chairman thanked Michelle Gardiner from the RCCE for setting up the meeting and for her guidance; he also thanked Susie Fowkes for attending to the refreshments. The Parish Council of Writtle was thanked for giving money to begin the Plan and it was indicated that future sources of funding would be sought and the RCCE would assist with this.
6. Close The Chairman thanked all for attending and the meeting ended at 12.10pm.
