Writtle Village Design Statement - Launched 2004
The Writtle Village Design Statement (VDS) was published in February 2004. Its aim is not to prevent development but to manage change within the Parish of Writtle and is a statement of how local people want the built environment to look in the years and decades ahead. It was the outcome of much consultation in the preceding years.
It was adopted as Planning guidance by Chelmsford City Council Executive on 2nd December 2003. Planning Applications in Writtle are judged against the policies set out in the VDS.
How to obtain a copy of the Village Design Statement
A PDF copy of the VDS can be found here (it can take a few seconds to open).
You can obtain a high-quality, printed version (A4 booklet) from the Clerk to Writtle Parish Council at the Parish Office during published office opening hours or telephone 01245-420066 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
